TELEMEDICINE SERVICES

Video, Audio, and AI-Assisted Consultations

1. Nature of Telemedicine

Definition
Telemedicine involves the use of electronic communications (Video Conferencing, Audio Calls, Chatbots) to enable health care providers at different locations to share individual patient medical information for the purpose of improving patient care.
Provider Scope
The consultation may be conducted by a Registered Medical Practitioner (RMP) or an RSX AI Diagnostic Agent (supervised by an RMP). By proceeding, you acknowledge that you may be interacting with both Human and Artificial Intelligence agents employed by RSX Hospital.

2. Risks & Limitations

Absence of Physical Examination
You understand that the doctor cannot physically touch, palpate, or auscultate (listen to) your body. This limits the doctor’s ability to diagnose conditions that require physical verification (e.g., abdominal tenderness, specific lung sounds, fractures).
Technology Failure
Video quality may degrade due to internet connectivity, leading to potential loss of information. In such cases, the RSX Hospital physician may terminate the session or switch to audio-only mode if deemed clinically safe.
AI Error Risk
Diagnostic suggestions provided by RSX Hospital’s AI Chatbots are probabilistic. You agree not to rely solely on AI output for critical medical decisions without human verification.

3. Emergency Protocol

NOT FOR EMERGENCIES

RSX Hospital Telemedicine is NOT intended for medical emergencies such as:
• Chest Pain (Heart Attack)
• Severe Bleeding / Trauma
• Stroke Symptoms (Slurred speech, paralysis)
• Difficulty Breathing

ACTION REQUIRED: If you experience these symptoms, you must disconnect immediately and visit the nearest physical Emergency Room (ER) or call an ambulance.

4. Privacy & Recording

Session Recording
CONSENT TO RECORD You authorize RSX Hospital to record video/audio consults for Quality Assurance and Medico-Legal purposes. These recordings are stored securely (Encrypted AES-256) and are part of your Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Prohibition on User Recording
You (the Patient) agree NOT to record the session (video or audio) without the explicit verbal permission of the treating doctor. Unauthorized recording and social media distribution of medical consults is a violation of privacy laws.

5. Mandatory PCPNDT Declaration

NO SEX DETERMINATION

I, the Patient/User, hereby declare that I am not seeking, nor will I ask for, any information regarding the gender/sex of a fetus. I understand that sex selection/determination is a punishable crime under the PCPNDT Act, 1994. RSX Hospital strictly enforces a zero-tolerance policy against sex selection.

6. Billing & Withdrawal

Financial Consent
You agree to pay the consultation fees to RSX Hospital prior to the initiation of the call. Refunds are only processed if the doctor fails to attend the session.
Right to Withdraw
You have the right to withhold or withdraw consent to telemedicine at any time without affecting your right to future care or treatment. You may request a physical visit to RSX Hospital premises instead (standard charges apply).

Acknowledgement & Agreement

I have read and understood the information provided above regarding telemedicine, have discussed it with my physician or such assistants as may be designated, and all of my questions have been answered to my satisfaction.

I hereby give my informed consent for the use of telemedicine in my medical care.
